We feature in the Top 20 every year on examination results and have received the shield for the most trophies awarded (in the High School division) by the Wes-Boland Eisteddfod, every year, for the past 9 years. Several of our previous students has achieved international recognition. During 2011 we have won 33 trophies from Eisteddfods!
Backround
The West Coast Music Academy originally started in 1996 by Carina Brown, giving private music tuition at the local school in Hopefield. Starting with only a few students, it grew to what she then called Carinas Musici (Musici: plural for musician in Latin). By 2003 she expanded her boarders by also tutoring in Langebaan and Vredenburg.
Since 2005 more staff members were appointed as the demand for professional quality tuition increased. The Academy has been growing ever since and is nationally and internationally recognised.
